A family car rally was held in the Capital on Sunday, with over 100 cars featuring in the event.
Minister of State for Urban Development Ajay Makan flagged off the rally from Tivoli gardens, which was organised by Ford Motors.
"It's very interesting and they have been organizing it for last seven years. They are also doing it in different cities. Best part is that families get together and enjoy on Sunday. Our whole week is so hectic that it is always good to celebrate it in such programmes with family and children," Makan said.
For most of the participants it was an occasion for spending some quality time with the family, and having a blast too.
"It's good for fun. We will roam around together. There are some general knowledge questions. It's good, we'll enjoy. My husband and I are participating. I'll drive and my husband will navigate," said Amita Tara.
The rally, which took participants along a 70-kilometre route, was based on the international concept of optimum speed, distance and time.
Besides the winner's trophy, there were prizes galore, for categories like best decorated car and best dressed male and female participant.
