Investors Capital Corporation, a premier independent broker/dealer, now offers extended telephone hours to its representatives to provide them with more time to process paperwork and have access to someone who can answer their questions during the workday beyond the traditional 5:00 p.m. EST closing time.
The new hours are Monday through Thursday until 7:00 p.m. EST and Friday until 6:00 p.m. EST, giving representatives access to home office personnel in Operations for an additional 2 hours each day; 1 hour on Friday. Recruiting has also adopted the same hours.
“This is another example of our overarching mission to provide Ritz-Carlton level service to all of our representatives,” said Investors Capital Corporation President Tim Murphy. “They will continue to call the same number. The only thing that will change is that they now have more hours in the workday to reach our home office staff, get critical questions answered, and get important work done.”
The new hours have found favor with Investors Capital representatives on both coasts.
“Thank you for recognizing the west coast,” said Investors Capital representative Ormond Ormsby of Lake Oswego, Oregon. “Our day is just getting going about the time the east coast is winding down. The new hours allow us to get more immediate responses to issues that come up.”
“This is a great idea because we can be more flexible with our clients’ schedules,” said Investors Capital representative Robert Klein of White Plains, New York. “The extended hours are great during IRA withdrawal season. Also, I know in my area I can catch UPS as late as 7 PM. This gives me time to get more work done.”
“I think it’s a great idea,” said Investors Capital representative Kevin Coffin of Waterville, Maine. “I may not call after 5 very often, but it’s nice to know I can call Operations at 6:30 p.m. and get someone on the phone, not a recording. A lot of people in this business keep working after 5. Good thinking!”
