Juice Wireless announced that JuiceCaster, the complete mobile social-networking solution, is now available on mobile devices across Europe. The video-based service, ideal for Europe’s 3G networks, superior handsets and mobile-savvy consumer base, allows anyone with a camera-enabled mobile phone to create and consume rich-media content from their wireless devices and the Web, and automatically share it with their friends and family. Juice Wireless is in active discussions with leading wireless operators regarding upcoming on-deck and off-deck launch plans, to be announced in 2008.
Daniel Matray, Juice Wireless’ newly appointed managing director of JuiceCaster Europe, will establish the company’s presence in London, England. Matray will be responsible for strategic and commercial development of the company and its product across all European markets. Building on Juice Wireless’ current partnerships, he will manage carrier relations and content-provider deals, leading operations, distribution and marketing to increase product awareness.
“I’m excited to join such a dynamic team and execute on our aggressive expansion plans,” said Daniel Matray. “The European market is growing rapidly and there is great demand for a complete mobile networking solution such as JuiceCaster. I look forward to helping the team spread the word and evangelize our innovative product, as we are quickly becoming the European leader in mobile social networking.”
JuiceCaster is a popular mobile solution that allows any individual with a camera-enabled mobile device to capture and distribute content in real-time to friends and family across multiple platforms, including cell phones, blogs and many popular online social-networking sites, including Facebook, MySpace, Orkut and Hi5.
JuiceCaster puts the power of broadcasting in the hands of consumers and professionals on-the-go, enabling them to become news anchors and distributors of original, creative and relevant content, as well as keep in touch with their loved ones. Whether skiing in the Alps or sailing down the coast of France, individuals can capture their fun, memorable moments and share them with friends worldwide. JuiceCaster, currently offered in English, will soon be available in Dutch, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
“2008 is a very exciting year for us on the corporate and product side,” said Nick Desai, CEO of Juice Wireless. “With this expansion, the company will achieve yet another strategic milestone. Daniel’s wireless industry experience and our product’s superior capabilities will ensure JuiceCaster is on its way to becoming the household name for mobile social networks in Europe and worldwide.”
