Cassadaga to Host Edgar Cayce Awareness and Sharing Day January 26, 2008

While Sylvia Browne, John Edward, Lisa Williams and James Van Praagh grab headlines and dominate the small screen today, they can't compete with a soft spoken photographer from Kentucky, dead since 1945, when it comes to psychic phenomena. The media darling of his day, Edgar Cayce never sought the public attention his unusual talents generated, but eventually devoted much of his time to helping people regain their health with advice obtained through his trance readings. The majority of his readings dealt with health maintenance and treatment of illness, according to Edgar Cayce's Association for Research and Enlightenment (ARE) in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This amazing man has been the subject of much study and research into his sometimes unorthodox yet very successful health protocols, then and now. More information on Cayce can be found on the web at http://www.edgarcayce.org.
Organized by Rev. Robert Johnstone of Edgar Cayce Canada, the Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp is pleased to present Edgar Cayce Awareness and Sharing Day on Saturday, January 26, 2008 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will feature Edgar Cayce presentations by Pat Bishop of the ARE Board of Directors and Jerry Williams highlighting upcoming ARE events. Margrethe Johnson will introduce the public to her "Search for God" workshop and James Schmidt will speak about "Healing Arthritis Naturally with the Edgar Cayce Readings." Mary Syde will demonstrate the electrical apparatus found in the Cayce readings and Mary Ann Denn will be selling Edgar Cayce Health Products and used books.
Cassadaga is also pleased to announce a Demonstration of Clairvoyance by International Demonstrator Eamonn Downey of the UK on Thursday, January 31 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the A. J. Davis Building. Downey divides his time equally between Europe and the US conducting demonstrations of communication with the deceased when not teaching at Arthur Findlay College. Downey is one of a small team of teachers of Spiritualism and Psychic Sciences who train the future teachers for Arthur Findlay College, the world's foremost college for the advancement of Spiritualism and Psychic Sciences, located northeast of London, England.
Cassadaga, Florida is known the world over as a Mecca of sorts for psychics, mediums, complimentary healing practitioners and Spiritualists. Founded in 1894 by George Colby as a winter retreat where Spiritualists could live and work together in a warm environment of peace and beauty. Present-day Cassadaga offers all that, and more. Certified Mediums available for readings are listed in the Camp Welcome Center and Bookstore in the A. J. Davis Building, hub of many of the activities available on a daily basis. |
