Epic Corporation (OTC:EPIO), a media and communication services company, today announced that EPIC has entered an agreement with Sigal Sports, www.sigalsports.com, to provide promotional and advertising services, which includes seeking sponsorships, appearances, and media campaigns for the 2008 Rolex Racing Championship Series, including the development of merchandising opportunities.
EPIC commences its marketing campaign in conjunction with the opening of the 2008 Rolex Grand-Am Racing Series at the Daytona National Speedway on Saturday, January 26, 2008. The first of fourteen races. The race will be televised nationally on the FOX Network as well as The Speed Network. The race is a 24-hour endurance race that will test equipment, cars, drivers and pit crews against a world renowned field of racing competitors.
The 'Sigal Racing Team' car is the only BMW in the race. It has racked up impressive records in the past two years with wins at Homestead, Florida last year as well as Podium finishes, 21 top ten finishes, four pole positions and two track records which add up to a true professional racing team, said Mick Bazsuly, EPIC's President/CEO. The drivers of the racing team include owners Gene Sigal, Matt Plumb, and Stephan Gregoire, which face a stiff field in the grueling 24 hours race.
The Grand-Am Rolex Racing Series covers 14 nationally televised races including one race in Mexico City and one in Canada. The premiere series of Grand-Am is the Rolex Car Series, which originated in 2000 as a successor to the defunct United States Road Racing Championship. The series combines two classes of cars, the Sports Racing Prototypes and Grand Touring-style production-based cars, and is centered around the 24 Hours of Daytona, but includes a wide variety of American, Canadian, and Mexican tracks.
This racing team, last year, proved it knows how to win, and a brand name one a winning car is exposed to millions and millions of national and international viewers for hours, not including the 100,000 attending the race, stated Mr. Bazsuly. Winning cars are always featured on the covers of many national magazines with distribution in the millions, providing after event advertising, which also includes television highlights and interviews long after the race is run.
Due to an unfortunate set of circumstances, the Sigal Racing Team is without sponsors, said Mr. Bazsuly. Providing an opportunity for several major sponsors.
