ENVISAGE Technologies, a high technology firm based in Bloomington, Indiana, was awarded a contract to implement its Acadis Readiness Suite™ Automated Scheduling at the US Army Fort Gordon & Signal Center.
Acadis Automated Scheduling was designed specifically to automate complex, high-volume training environments. The software automates the scheduling of individual training programs and can perform long range planning and resource allocations. Acadis includes a sophisticated rules-based scheduling engine which applies sequencing, priorities, dependencies and resource requirements for each block of instruction via highly-configurable model schedules.
Accessible via a standard internet browser, Acadis features an intuitive interface and maintains individual calendars for each instructor, classroom, resource and training area. The software provides immediate notification of conflicts or insufficient instructional resources and automatically suggests resolution options. Reports are easily printed or exported directly into standard Microsoft Office formats. Acadis Automated Scheduling is built upon the scalable Oracle® database and makes extensive use of XML/XSLT technologies.
"Scheduling has traditionally been an expensive bottleneck for large military schools," stated Ari Vidali, Envisage CEO. "The Signal Center schedules an average of 800 classes and trains over 20,000 soldiers per year. Many large training environments are struggling under a combination of a high operational tempo and increased demands which are stretching training resources to the limit. By providing a common scheduling environment, participants in the process can automate schedule generation and eliminate the hundreds of Excel spreadsheets used to maintain personnel, facility, and resource calendars that must be constantly updated manually."

Installation and configuration of the software is anticipated to commence in January 2008. ENVISAGE will provide the software, installation and maintenance of the scheduling infrastructure.
