Golfers Gear Up for Accor's Dream Vacation Extravaganza in Online Contest
Publish Date : 1/22/2008 7:51:00 AM   Source : Sports News Onlypunjab.com

Contestants who love golf are teeing up for a shot at three dream vacations in Asia on offer by the French hotelier Accor.

Part of "The Accor Experience" campaign, participants are asked to visit a contest website and choose an array of locations around the globe that best suits their holiday desires.

The highlight of the golf vacation package is a three nights' stay at the Sofitel Dalat Palace in central Vietnam. Known for decades as both "Le Petite Paris" and the "City of Eternal Spring," Dalat is blessed year round with favorable weather amid crisp, cool mountain air.

The Sofitel Dalat Palace in the central highlands is one of the few remaining historic hotels in Asia. Built in 1922, the lakeside colonial-style hotel is truly a palace in every sense of the word and is surrounded by cascading waterfalls.

Since the opening of Dalat Palace Golf Club in the 1920's (originally a 9-hole course), the city has hosted golfers from around the world, including American champion Billy Casper. Dalat emerged once again as the ideal golf holiday in 1994.

Accor's contest also offers a golfing retreat at the Sofitel Zhongshan Golf Resort Nanjing, located on the slopes of China's famous Purple Mountain. Its exclusive 27-hole course was designed by Gary Player.

For non-golfers, the resort offers a comprehensive range of other leisure facilities including an indoor swimming pool, tennis court, fitness centre, day spa, beauty salon and Mahjong rooms.

The third prize offered by Accor is a golf stay at the brand new Novotel Chumphon Beach Resort and Golf on the southeast coast of Thailand. Built directly on the fantastic 9-hole golf course, the beautiful beach-side hotel is surrounded by the spectacular turquoise waters of the Gulf of Thailand.

The golf package is among 19 theme vacation prizes available, with the grand prize being a trip to Paris, France valued at US$4,800.

The online competition highlights Accor's high-end brands, with a particular focus on the breadth of destinations, properties and experiences that Accor offers.

Participants who register for "The Accor Experience" contest are asked to send e-mails to friends, family, and colleagues inviting them to join too. For each e-mail sent that results in a visit to the contest website, the sender receives one more chance to win.
