Diskology released a new model of their award winning portable hard disk duplicator, the Disk Jockey, today. The new Disk Jockey PRO IT adds built in SATA support, an easy-to-read LCD display, the ability to skip bad sectors of a disk during a copy and faster copy speeds of up to 4 GB/min, double the speed of the previous model. The Disk Jockey offers several other disk-related tools including the ability to erase, test, mirror and combine disks.

The Disk Jockey is the first truly low-cost portable disk duplicator to hit the market. The Disk Jockey PRO IT carries an SRP of $449, nearly half the cost of its closest competitor. The Disk Jockey provides an exact, sector-by-sector copy of a hard drive including all hidden files and boot information. It is completely platform agnostic and can copy Windows NTFS disks, Macintosh HFS disks as well as virtually all other disk formats.

The Disk Jockey also mirrors data between two hard drives, spans two disks to look like one volume, tests drives at the block level and verifies copied data. The Disk Jockey can mount drives to the desktop of your Windows or Macintosh computer to be used as standard desktop storage via either USB 2.0 or eSATA. The Disk Jockey can erase drives quickly and securely using a one-pass or three-pass erase. The Disk Jockey works either as a stand-alone product or attached to a computer.
