DI Colorist Stephen Nakamura Joins Company 3
Publish Date : 1/16/2008 7:40:00 AM Source : Technology News Onlypunjab.com
Digital Intermediate Colorist Stephen Nakamura, whose credits include "The Bourne Ultimatum," "Spider-Man 3" and "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer," has joined Company 3, an Ascent Media company.
The move reunites Nakamura with Company 3 President and DI Colorist Stefan Sonnenfeld—each of whom have credits on more than 30 A-list film titles—and further bolsters Company 3’s line-up of top-flight, digital artists and position as a premiere provider of post production services for feature films, commercials and television.
“Stephen is a great artist and a great friend, and I’m thrilled to have him at Company 3,” said Sonnenfeld, whose recent credits include "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street," "Transformers" and "300." “It’s a pleasure to work with an artist who shares our passion for filmmaking, and who can help fuel our continued growth.” Nakamura will be based at Company 3’s Santa Monica facility.
Nakamura arrives from Technicolor Digital Services, where he had been since its launch in 2002. He has worked with many of Hollywood’s top directors and directors of photography including Martin Scorsese and Michael Ballhaus ("The Departed"), Quentin Tarantino and Robert Richardson ("Kill Bill: Vol. 1," "Kill Bill: Vol 2"), and Steven Spielberg and Janusz Kaminski ("The Terminal"). His most recent credits include "The Bucket List" for Rob Reiner, "Shine a Light" for Martin Scorsese and "Leatherheads" for George Clooney.
