Xerpi, the next generation social bookmarking site, today launched its community views feature. The new application allows users to create a Xerpi community and share links with a few friends or the entire World Wide Web in an easy, organized format.
Xerpi is a free website designed to customize the internet by organizing, finding and sharing hundreds of personal bookmarks. Xerpi uses a unique drag and drop interface to make the internet manageable and relevant.
The community views feature extends Xerpi to anyone, whether a registered Xerpi user or not, with shared interests. Xerpi users can create a community view with links and layouts customized to a group's interests. Each view can then be published to close friends or the general public. Flexible editing rights let every member of the community add, edit and update the shared links on each page.
The community view pages can be used by iPhone enthusiasts sharing the latest iPhone news, Paris visitors seeking information, flamenco dancers looking for classes in a metropolitan area, thrifty locals looking for free activities in New York City, study groups sharing research websites with other members, companies coordinating useful websites amongst employees, recipe sharing and more.
