Tenderizing Not Just for Tough Meat; 'Secret' to Clearing Windshield Ice Revealed
Publish Date : 1/3/2008 2:37:00 AM   Source : Education and Studies Onlypunjab.com

Safe winter driving practices demand that drivers have complete visibility. That means scraping ice, a task which, according to at least one consumer study, is almost universally hated by drivers. The IceDozer®, a unique, powerful and ergonomically safe ice scraper, combines a flexible blade with special tenderizing teeth to make clearing ice from your automobile a quick and simple task instead of a loathsome chore. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office recently issued Utility Patent #7249393 in recognition of the high-tech design of the IceDozer. The IceDozer is also protected under Design Patent #D460589.

The scientifically designed IceDozer advances scraper technology with its FlexiBlade™, which automatically adjusts to the curvature of any windshield, clearing a much wider swath of visibility with each pass.

The IceDozer's multiple 'attack surfaces' won't scratch glass, yet can tackle even the thickest ice. A front 'snowplow' pushes snow and ice away from the hands while the ergonomic PowerGrip™ design amplifies the natural strength and motion of the upper body. The American made IceDozer has been carefully tested for durability and is backed by a lifetime warranty - a guarantee unmatched by any competitor.

The IceDozer is designed with three attack surfaces to scrape away the different types of ice buildup. The FrostPeeler™ Blade quickly peels away annoying morning frost. While the forward facing IceBreaker™ Teeth provide a cracking force (like the prow of a ship) to plow through thicker ice. Last, but not least, the Tenderizer™ Teeth are used to create fissures in really thick ice and then used to rip apart the broken debris.

"We set out to find the Achilles Heel of ice, and then to build an ice scraper that could take advantage of that vulnerability to make clearing ice easier, and winter driving safer," said Marvin Weinberger, Inventor-in-Chief of the Innovation Factory, LLC (which manufactures and distributes the IceDozer). "We found that brittleness is ice's weak point. Even really thick ice has fault lines. The IceDozer exploits them through the use of the Tenderizer ™ Teeth."

"A really thick ice buildup on your car, like that caused by freezing rain, can weigh hundreds of pounds," said Weinberger. "Add to this the powerful adhesion with which this ice can stick to the windshield and you realize that resistance is futile (at least if you're working with the typical flimsy ice scraper). Instead, the thing to do is to 'tenderize' the frozen surface, like you were softening up a piece of tough meat. Just grasp the IceDozer in the recommended Power Grip™ and proceed to tap sharply downward onto the ice. This creates hairline fractures along the fault lines, breaking up the ice while disrupting its adhesive grip on the windshield. The more time you spend tenderizing, the easier it will be to rip the ice from the surface of the glass, hence our motto: 'Don't Work Hard, Work Smart'." So go ahead and take out your frustrations attacking the ice with the Tenderizer Teeth™; you won't harm the windshield and you might even have some fun.

Besides introducing effective technologies for clearing ice, the IceDozer is also ergonomically safe. The two-fisted PowerGrip™, modeled after a carpenter's wood plane, utilizes the natural strength and motion of the upper body - instead of a person's wrists - to attack the ice.

Also available is the IceDozer Plus, which features a small, detachable scraper and brush multi-tool called the PocketDozer™. The PocketDozer is intended for clearing ice from small areas such as side mirrors. This handy tool also incorporates the IceNotch™, which is designed specifically to clear ice chunks off of the windshield wipers.

The IceDozer and IceDozer Plus can be purchased online at www.innovationfactory.com. Shipping is free when ordering two or more products. Other resellers include Amazon.com and the Herrington Catalog. The IceDozer Classic retails for $17.95 (MSRP), while the IceDozer Plus retails for $19.95 (MSRP). Both are made in the U.S.A. and make unique and practical gifts. Every IceDozer comes with a lifetime warranty; consumers will never have to buy another ice scraper.
