Diamond Resorts International® (DRI), a global leader in the vacation ownership industry, has appointed James R. Danz ("Jim") to the position of Chief Marketing Officer. Danz joins a strong executive team committed to delivering the highest standards of guest satisfaction and hospitality.
Danz has been involved in marketing and sales within the resort development and vacation ownership industry since 1985 during which time he held the positions of Vice President of Marketing for Starwood Vacation Ownership USA; Executive Vice President, Marketing, for the Princeton Resorts Group; and Accor Premiere Vacation Club, based in Australia. During his tenure at these and other companies, Danz has marketed more than $650 million in net sales volume.

Danz will be responsible for marketing on a global scale for Diamond Resorts International®, directing teams throughout the USA, United Kingdom, Caribbean and Europe to create an effective and well-maintained lead pipeline to drive membership in THE Club(SM), DRI's points-based vacation exchange network.
The American Resort Development Association (ARDA) -- where he currently serves on the Board of Directors and Chairman of the ARDA Meetings Council and Sales and Marketing Forum -- has recognized Danz for expertise and leadership in developing and disseminating ethical sales and marketing practices. "Jim is an admired and valuable industry resource with a prominent history in leadership roles at ARDA," says Howard C. Nusbaum, ARDA's president and CEO. Danz, a Registered Resort Professional, has been a national convention speaker and moderator for ARDA and was elected to the ARDA Board of Directors in 2004. He is a five-time recipient of the coveted Gold "ARDY" in the categories of Marketing Manager-Director Large Projects and Executive Marketing Manager.
