QuadraMed to Showcase Advanced Care-Based Revenue Cycle Solutions at the HIMSS 2008
Publish Date : 2/25/2008 6:26:00 AM   Source : Health News Onlypunjab.com

QuadraMed® Corporation (Amex:QD) announced today that it will showcase its Care-Based Revenue Cycle™ solutions at The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) 2008 Annual Conference & Exhibition (Booth # 1645), from Feb. 24 – 28, 2008 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

“We are thrilled to demonstrate at HIMSS the full breath of our solutions designed to help healthcare organizations transform quality care into positive financial outcomes,” said Keith Hagen, QuadraMed’s president and CEO. “We have made tremendous progress with many of our products, and have a number of significant new product announcements and solutions to demonstrate, and we’re eager to share those with our clients and the marketplace.”

QuadraMed will unveil and demonstrate several Care-Based Revenue Cycle solutions for the first time including:
-- QuadraMed CPR(TM) (QCPR) 5.03, a robust, clinician-oriented electronic medical record for large hospitals and academic medical centers, shown first time since QuadraMed completed the acquisition of Misys' CPR business and assets in September 2007.

-- QCPR SmartStart(tm), designed to enable community hospitals take advantage of advanced clinical functionality with a more rapid implementation methodology and pre-defined system attributes.

-- QuadraMed Smart Identity Exchange(tm) (QuadraMed Smart I/X(tm)), a next-generation enterprise master person index and record locator/reconciliation solution and part of QuadraMed's Best in KLAS portfolio of identity management solutions. Using QuadraMed Smart I/X, large hospitals, integrated delivery networks and health information exchanges can identify, reconcile and manage patient records to significantly reduce the potential for medical errors and needless expenses such as unnecessary tests and procedures.

-- A preview of QuadraMed's next major release, QCPR 5.0.4 , now in live production use at Forrest General Hospital, an integrated delivery network in Hattiesburg, MS This release marks QCPR's transition from a proprietary database to the high-performance object CACHE(R) database from InterSystems Corporation.

-- Introducing three advanced solutions soon to be available from QuadraMed:

-- QuadraMed SQL Connect(tm) for QCPR, providing read access to the QCPR live/operational database through SQL (the industry standard query language) "opening" the database to standard tools such as Crystal Reports, MS Excel and MS Access.

-- QuadraMed Denial Prevention(tm) and business activity monitoring, a workflow-driven, rules-based solution using InterSystems Ensemble platform. Provides revenue cycle managers interactive graphs that monitor business activity and operational decision support. Features drill-down on detail with the ability to assign work and change rules on the fly.

-- QuadraMed Single Sign-On(tm) "learns" a user's enterprise network logon via LDAP directory standard (Microsoft's LDAP product is called Active Directory). Promotes system usage by reducing cumbersome redundant sign-on. Capable of handling the complex needs of developers and support personnel to access multiple customers, configurations and systems

-- The latest version of QuadraMed's COPE(tm), a solution to help hospitals comply with a reporting mandate from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid requiring data on their quality of care covering outpatient services delivered on or after April 1, 2008.

-- QuadraMed File Manager(tm), a product that allows organizations to electronically store and manage non-patient centric reports and files, regardless of their source.

-- QuadraMed eSignature(R) an advanced electronic signature application. QuadraMed eSignature makes documents available electronically for remote approval enabling clinicians to devote more time to treating their patients. eSignature supports authentication of both imported text and scanned documents. Clinicians can edit text documents from any workstation prior to authentication. The authenticated documents may then be exported to an electronic medical record or clinical data repository, faxed or e-mailed as needed.

-- QuadraMed AcuityPlus(tm) version 7.1 provides evidence-based staffing. Thus hospitals can improve the alignment of nursing resources and patient workload with the capture of both the patient's needs for care and procedure events.
