Julie Rodriguez Aldort concentrates her practice in reinsurance and complex commercial litigation and has practiced law since 1998. Her reinsurance experience involves major matters for cedents and reinsurers, typically involving multi-million dollar disputes. Aldort’s commercial litigation experience includes significant involvement in intellectual property and unfair competition disputes. She joined Butler Rubin after experience as an associate at Wilmer Cutler & Pickering in Washington, D.C., serving as a Law Clerk to the Hon. Joan B. Gottschall, U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois, and as an associate at Jenner & Block in Chicago. A 1994 magna cum laude graduate of Claremont McKenna College, Aldort received a M.S. in Conservation Biology from the University of Michigan in 1998 and her law degree, cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School in 1998.
Mark A. Schwartz concentrates his practice in reinsurance and complex commercial litigation. His reinsurance experience includes representation of both cedents and reinsurers in multi-million dollar litigation and arbitration. Schwartz has also represented clients in a variety of commercial litigation matters ranging from contract disputes to legal malpractice defense. He began his legal career as an associate at Jenner & Block in Chicago, and joined Butler Rubin in 2000. A summa cum laude graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles in 1995, Schwartz earned his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School in 1999.
