Touchpaper®, an international provider of IT Business Management (ITBM™) solutions, has announced its year end results with 2007 being the most successful year ever for the company. Touchpaper has continued to expand its customer portfolio worldwide and drive revenue and profit growth through new product and channel development, expanding the company’s operations across Europe, North America and Asia Pacific.
Touchpaper increased its worldwide revenue by nine percent, yielding strong profitability throughout 2007. By continuing to expand its operations worldwide and adding over 80 new customers to its roster, Touchpaper increased sales orders by 20 percent across the globe.
2007 also saw Touchpaper strengthen its position in the enterprise space as acknowledged by inclusion in the Magic Quadrant for the IT Services Desk 2007, published by leading industry analyst firm Gartner. Of the company’s current customers, 35 percent have over 5,000 employees, a 12 percent increase from the previous year.
This year-on-year success has helped Touchpaper maintain its strong foothold as one of the UK’s leading enterprise IT companies. In the UK, the company increased new orders by 12 percent, growing revenue by 18 percent. Touchpaper’s strong commitment to delivering solutions that meet customer demand has helped the company boost its customer portfolio in the UK tremendously.
Since the launch of its IT Business Management (ITBM) suite in 2006, more than 200 customers worldwide have gone live or are currently implementing the new solution –including the City of Corpus Christi, Davis Langdon, Deutsche Post, NH Hoteles, Northamptonshire County Council, Northern Ireland Civil Service, Pilkington (a member of the NSG Group), Qualifications and Curriculum Authority and Technicolor.
Touchpaper has also been particularly successful in building up its portfolio in the health and education sectors, with customers such as Kent and Medway Health Informatics Service, Leicestershire Health Informatics Service, Portland Public Schools, University of Dundee, University of the West of Scotland, and West London Mental Health NHS Trust all going live in 2007.
Outside of the UK, Touchpaper experienced the greatest growth in the US where new orders rose by 55 percent and revenues by 23 percent. The appointment of Mike Clewley as North American Operations Director was made in direct response to this growth and is a key part of Touchpaper's world-wide Operations initiative to strengthen the Professional Services capability locally around the world. In addition, the promotion of Gail Noren to North American Sales Director and the appointment of Chris Dancy as VP, Business Development have strengthened and enhanced Touchpaper’s North American sales and marketing presence.
The Touchpaper Philippines subsidiary, due to open in the first quarter of 2008, will make the region an ideal gateway to reach other potential Asian markets such as China, India and Japan. Over the next year, Touchpaper plans to boost growth there by 100% and increase manpower resources threefold in the region.
“2007 was an excellent year for Touchpaper where we saw very strong growth across all regions,” said Graham Ridgway, CEO, Touchpaper. “We continue to increase our revenue every year and are now winning more multi-million dollar, pound and Euro contracts than ever before. In this past year, in particular, we received more recognition throughout the industry as a whole as indicated by our inclusion in the Magic Quadrant for the IT Services Desk 2007, published by leading industry analyst firm Gartner. This, along with our continued growth, has helped us solidify our global position in the IT business management space. With such exceptional results behind us and a very promising pipeline of new orders in the foreseeable future, we are extremely happy to kick off 2008 and we look forward to another successful year.”
