Alltel Wireless Expands ‘My Circle’ for New and Existing Customers
Publish Date : 1/14/2008 3:27:00 AM Source : Technology News Onlypunjab.com
In 2006, Alltel Wireless, America’s largest network, revolutionized the concept of free wireless calling with the introduction of “My Circle,” an industry-defining offer giving customers the freedom of unlimited calling to and from any 10 numbers on any network for free. Today, Alltel announced a major expansion to “My Circle,” with the introduction of “My Circle 5” and “My Circle 20” – two new options now offered in addition to the original “My Circle 10.” Now new and existing customers can take advantage of this exclusive calling feature.
For almost two years, customers on rate plans of $59.99 or higher have taken advantage of “My Circle 10,” allowing them to choose who they call for free – any 10 numbers on any network. With the addition of these two new “My Circle” options, now there is a circle for everyone. New and existing customers on any rate plan of $49.99 or higher will receive “My Circle 5” and the ability to choose any five numbers on any network for unlimited free calling. Customers on calling plans of $99.99 or higher will benefit from “My Circle 20,” providing unlimited calling to any 20 numbers on any network for free.
“The addition of Alltel’s ‘My Circle 5’ and ‘My Circle 20’ provides our customers with more choice and control over their wireless experience,” said Frank O’Mara, Chief Marketing Officer for Alltel Wireless. “Our ‘My Circle 10’ has been extremely well received, and with the expansion, even more people can enjoy the freedom of choosing who they call for free – any five, 10 or 20 numbers on any network.”
Customers can add any combination of home phone, office or wireless numbers located anywhere in the U.S., regardless of local phone company or wireless carrier. Alltel has made it easy for customers to start calling their “My Circle” numbers and enjoy the convenience of changing those numbers by simply going to www.alltel.com/myaccount anytime at no charge. Free calls to “My Circle” numbers are in addition to anytime minutes, night / weekend minutes and mobile-to-mobile minutes included in customers’ calling plans.
Demonstrating the belief in giving customers choice and flexibility over their wireless experience, Alltel was the first to offer Anytime Plan Changes, giving customers the ability to change their calling plans at any time, without extending their current contract. In addition, Alltel offers Voice2TXT, a feature that quickly converts incoming voicemails to text messages in the customer’s inbox; and Celltop, a patent-pending technology offering customers an easier way to access, manage and organize a wide range of information already available on their phones.
Alltel is owner and operator of the nation’s largest wireless network and has more than 12 million customers. For more information about Alltel, please visit www.alltel.com. |
