10 policemen killed in Iraq blast

A car bomb blast in this Iraqi city Thursday killed 10 policemen and wounded 22, Xinhua reports.
The blast occurred near the police headquarters in this city, 170 km north of the capital Baghdad.
"We received 10 bodies and 22 injured but the number of casualties could increase," said Imad al-Jubouri, a doctor at Tikrit Hospital.
It was not immediately clear if a suicide bomber caused the explosion, police said.
