CoWare(C) Inc., the leading supplier of system-level electronic design automation (EDA) software and services, will showcase its electronic system-level (ESL) design solutions at the Electronic Design and Solution Fair (EDSFair) in Yokohama, Japan, January 27 and 28. At the exhibition, CoWare experts will offer insights into ESL technology and market trends through product demonstrations and technical seminars as well as highlight a newly released integration with Forte Design Systems' Cynthesizer behavioral synthesis product.
According to Jan Goodsell, president of CoWare Japan K.K., "Because EDSFair is co-located with the FPGA/PLD Design Conference, University Plaza and ASP-DAC, attendees have a great opportunity to see product demonstrations, attend technical seminars, and learn about new trends and technologies, all in one place. CoWare is pleased to be a part of this annual event to share with attendees our latest solutions, including the first demonstration of the ESL design to implementation flow created by CoWare ConvergenSC and Forte Cynthesizer."
Product and Solution Flow Demonstrations in CoWare Booth 703
In the CoWare booth, number 703, attendees can view demonstrations of CoWare's leading ESL design tools, including SPW, the most comprehensive DSP application solution that bridges the gap from DSP algorithm exploration to implementation into hardware and software. The new CoWare SPW 5-XP for Microsoft(R) Windows(R) will also be demonstrated.
The demonstration of ConvergenSC(TM) system-on-chip (SoC) design tools will focus on SoC platform development, showing how an SoC design team can create an optimal platform architecture in SystemC at the transaction level -- using AMBA and other interconnect buses, and ARM, MIPS, LSI Logic and other cores. It will also show how they can provide a "programmer's view" of that platform to their customer for embedded software development many months ahead of implementation, and reuse the system-level design IP and embedded software in a highly efficient flow into verification using ConvergenSC and Cadence Incisive.
The latest releases of the LISATek(TM) suite of tools for embedded processor modeling, design, and software tool generation; and PowerEscape tools for low power and high performance design will also be demonstrated.
Debut of Integrated Flow Between ConvergenSC and Forte Cynthesizer
For system designers developing platforms and SoC architectures in SystemC, this demonstration -- also in booth 703 -- will show how ConvergenSC users can automatically generate RTL for targeted subsystem blocks using Forte Cynthesizer behavioral synthesis, and then validate candidate RTL implementations in the system with embedded software. With this automated path to implementation, system designers can avoid manual re-work and prevent divergence between their SystemC model and the optimal RTL implementation.
Technical Seminars Focus on Industry Trends
During the exhibition, CoWare will host two technical seminars: "SPW 5-XP: A Strong Weapon for the Algorithm Designer," and "ConvergenSC: Leading-edge SystemC-based Design Environment Dramatically Reduces SoC Design Time."
